Summer is our time for lots of outdoor activities: hiking, road trips, rides to the pool and stops at the park. That takes us all over — from the Rio Grande to the Sandias, and everywhere in-between. We’re busy-active, but our car also gets a lot of wear-and-tear.
Car maintenance is a “manly” or “dadly” thing… but it’s more than that. Car maintenance is important. It helps to ensure a long-lasting vehicle, but also that my family will arrive safely. Pennzoil has always been a big part of that! It was the brand we always used when I was a kid. I guess you could say that it has always been the fuel that supported our adventures, but it’s also a fuel that I trust.
And, as we change the oil… it’s also a great learning lesson for my boys. Beyond cleaning their room and taking care of their toys, I want them to see that it’s important to maintain the car as well. That also means becoming familiar with the car-maintenance checklist.
Just because we need to keep our car running well, though, doesn’t mean that it’s got to be a difficult process. We’ve found that the WalMart Service Center is a great resource for getting our oil changed with Pennzoil (they told me that they’ve added Department Managers to the Automotive Care Center, which probably explains why the experience was so fast when we went to get our oil changed).
Although I didn’t know it when I was a kid, Pennzoil really provides complete protection for my vehicle. It helps to clean out the sludge, and it also allows me to drive more miles every year (more than 500). Better yet, the Platinum® has the very best cleanliness and protection in the Pennzoil line-up.
That’s important to me, and it means a lot…
Pennzoil Warranty: Pennzoil also offers a free warranty that covers 15 engine parts that may fail due to engine wear or which experience abnormal wear due to friction. (For more information, check out the Pennzoil Warranty Site.)
